The ecology of body‐based performance: materiality, environmental perception and space‐
production.
Aims of the Project
This artistic project will investigate the interaction between the human body and the environment. Specifically, it has the aim to develop a greater understanding on how the body interacts with material things and external objects through practices of environmental perception, interaction and space‐production. The residency will serve as a platform to work with organic materials and food originated from the land as main objects of investigation during the development of the piece. The following are the proposed objects of departure in order to create a body‐based performance: organic materials (milk, honey and wheat) and qualities of the landscape (soil, the process of harvest and production).
